A Jewel of a long distance Walking Trail.

You know the way it goes, when you're saying this is the year..... This is the year I'm going to challenge myself. I'm going to hike the Pyrenees, follow the Inca Trail or walk The Camino.  Next step could possibly involve shopping for all the possible gear you might require to survive your multi-day long distance hike, trek or walk.  This all sounds great and we say fare play to you.  But here's the but.... Why rush to start booking flights, accommodation or guided trips, if you haven't first tackled the challenge closer to home, the fabulous walking trail that's on our door step. The trails that we're talking about is a jewel of a long distance walking trail and called The Kerry Way.

The Kerry Way is the longest signposted walking trails in Ireland.

The Kerry Way is approximately 215km long  (135 miles) of waymarked trails and one of the most enjoyable ways to see the true Kerry if you like exploring the beautiful outdoor on foot.  The Kerry Way loops around Iveragh, the largest of the three Kerry peninsulas and follows narrow country roads, forest tracks, old coach and butter roads, mass paths, open farmland, hillside, mountain ridge and passes.  For walkers of all levels, the Kerry Way is a real gem that reveals the Kerry countryside in all its glory.

The Kerry Way experience is one of exhilaration and tranquillity with abundant wildlife, fauna and history to savour along the way.  The walking route takes in Kenmare, Sneem, Catherdaniel,  Waterville, Caherciveen, Glenbeigh and Killarney .  Of course there is no requisite to complete the walk all in one go.  You can do it in stages bit by bit, whether in full-day or half-day sections and by basing yourself at Alaind in Sneem, you can easily do most of it with just a little planning.  We offer multi-night walking packages, which includes relevant maps and information, waking poles, packed lunch and help organising local transport.

For a taste of The Kerry Way Experience, we suggest a three night package, walking from Caherdaniel to Álaind in Sneem on Day One and from Kenmare to Sneem on Day Two.  If you have the time on Day Three, we recommend completing one of the local loop walks before your journey home.
